Jackal Berry Tree
SavannaJackal Berry Tree
The Jackal Berry Tree is found all over the African Savanna. It grows on termite mounds, which provides the tree with good soil and lots of moisture. The termites actually don't eat the tree when it's alive, and many species don't eat it when it's dead, either. The tree can grow to be 80 feet tall. Elephants, rhinos, and giraffes eat the leaves of the Jackal Berry Tree, and baboons, parrots, and kukus eat the fruit. For more information visit Blue Planet.
